La. Wins Remand Of Fresenius Suit In Dialysis Drug MDL

Law360, New York (January 20, 2015, 7:01 PM EST) -- The Massachusetts federal judge overseeing multidistrict litigation against Fresenius USA Inc. over the alleged serious side effects of two of its dialysis drugs on Tuesday granted the Louisiana attorney general's bid to remand the state's suit from federal court, weeks after remanding a similar suit by Mississippi in MDL. 

U.S. District Judge Douglas Woodlock granted a request by Louisiana attorney general James "Buddy" Caldwell to remand the suit to state court, saying that he "find[s] no reason to depart from my ruling in Hood," a reference to Mississippi Attorney General Jim Hood's suit against Fresenius Medical Care Holdings Inc. and Fresenius USA. ...
