Amazon Drivers Clarify Classes In FLSA Class Suit

Law360, New York (January 25, 2017, 6:41 PM EST) -- A group of Illinois Amazon delivery drivers clarified the class allegations in their suit alleging the company and two contractors that directly employed them unfairly denied them overtime pay, separating their claims against all three from those against the contractors alone.

The drivers’ amended complaint defines their proposed class as workers employed as drivers by contract delivery companies Silverstar Ltd. and Gold Standard Transportation Inc. and creates a subclass including workers employed as drivers by Amazon and the contractors.
