NJ Lawmaker Blasts Silence On Rutgers Deal Over Exit Fees

Law360, New York (February 5, 2014, 4:58 PM EST) -- A New Jersey lawmaker on Wednesday said he was “deeply disturbed” by Rutgers University's refusal to share details on a tentative agreement with the former Big East Conference over a $10 million exit fee that the school may have faced.

Greg Brown, vice chairman of the Rutgers board of governors, noted the agreement during a meeting of the panel on Tuesday, a university source confirmed. Rutgers in 2012 sued the collegiate sports organization, now dubbed the American Athletic Conference, over the exit fee and other issues...
