MINUTE entry before the Honorable Jeannice W. Appenteng: In their motion to compel identification of trade secrets with reasonable particularity 275 , 276 , the AddOn Defendants address some but not all of the claimed trade secrets identified in [275-3], and fail to explain why the specific source code, scripts, algorithms, tables, relationships, layouts, value lists and methodologies set forth in Exhibits A through J [275-4] through [275-13] are insufficient to understand which trade secrets plaintiff is alleging defendants misappropriated. Compare NEXT Payment Solutions, Inc. v. CLEAResult Consulting, Inc., 163 F.4th 1091, 1096 (7th Cir. 2026) (granting summary judgment where plaintiff did not identify "any specific algorithms, source code, or methodologies underlying the [software's] functionality."). Accordingly, by 10/12/2026, the AddOn Defendants shall produce to plaintiff a chart identifying each alleged deficiency as to each claimed trade secret. By 10/26/2026, plaintiff shall respond to each challenge in the chart by explaining how the information disclosed satisfies its burden to: (1) provide "a high level of specificity [when making] a claim for misappropriation of a trade secret"; and (2) "isolate the aspects that are unknown to the trade."
