He has appointed an unprecedented number of women and minorities, including a number of highly qualified Asian-Americans to posts in his administration, and nominated many to the federal judiciary.

There is one critical arena where his dedication to diversity, as applied to Asian-Americans, the fastest growing ethnic group in America, was recently tested.
