FCC Approves $4.6 Billion Media General-Nexstar Merger

Law360, Washington (January 11, 2017, 5:23 PM EST) -- The Federal Communications Commission on Wednesday agreed to allow Nexstar Broadcasting Group Inc. to buy Media General Corp. in a $4.6 billion deal, agreeing also to waive rules that would have barred the transaction during the ongoing broadcast incentive auction.
