FTC Chair Taps Latham Antitrust Vet To Run Competition Unit

Law360, New York (February 16, 2017, 4:45 PM EST) -- Federal Trade Commission acting Chairman Maureen Ohlhausen tapped Latham & Watkins LLP antitrust veteran Tad Lipsky on Thursday to run the watchdog's Bureau of Competition, replacing Deborah Feinstein.

Ohlhausen, who became acting chair of the FTC after President Donald Trump took office, named Lipsky as the bureau's new acting director as of March 6. He will take over for Feinstein, who former FTC Chair Edith Ramirez had brought in from Arnold & Porter LLP to steer the agency's merger and competition conduct work.
