Uber Looks To Consolidate 4 Suits By Boston Taxi Cos.

Law360, New York (February 16, 2017, 6:37 PM EST) -- Uber Technologies Inc. on Thursday asked a Massachusetts federal court to consolidate four cases brought by 265 local taxi companies accusing Uber of operating illegally in Boston and competing unfairly by not complying with local taxi ordinances.

Because the four cases, which were filed between Dec. 16, 2016, and Feb. 1, 2017, all involve Uber and the same underlying facts and legal issues, grouping them together will promote efficiency and avoid multiple and possibly inconsistent proceedings while saving all parties money and hurting no one....
