Fake Psychiatrist Tells 7th Circ. Patients Faced Little Risk

Law360, Chicago (January 11, 2018, 6:35 PM EST) -- A man sentenced to more than 13 years in prison for stealing a psychiatrist’s identity and using the information to see patients and prescribe them medication told the Seventh Circuit on Thursday that the lower court imposed sentencing time enhancements for sophisticated and high-risk conduct that his case's evidence does not support.

Scott Redman’s attorney Daniel Pulliam told the three-judge panel the lower court improperly found he used sophisticated means to pull off the scheme, saying he merely made quick stops at websites such as fakeid.com...
