The CCPA, which sailed through the legislative process in less than two weeks, will not take effect until Jan. 1, 2020, and could very well be amended before then. California's enactment of CCPA is not entirely surprising given the introduction of its European counterpart, the General Data Protection Regulation, which came into effect in May 2018....
