DOJ Sued For Access To Comey’s Private Emails

Law360 (August 3, 2018, 9:23 PM EDT) -- An advocacy group has sued to force the U.S. Department of Justice to release the work emails that former FBI Director James Comey and his chief of staff allegedly sent from their personal email accounts.

The D.C.-based nonprofit Cause of Action Institute, which says it advocates for smaller government, said in a complaint filed in D.C. federal court Wednesday that the DOJ was withholding information responding to three of its Freedom of Information Act requests seeking work-related messages sent by various FBI officials from private emails....
