Dating App Says Sprawling Breach Exposed 6M Users' Data

By Allison Grande (February 14, 2019, 10:28 PM EST) -- The dating app Coffee Meets Bagel rang in Valentine's Day by informing its more than 6 million users that some of their personal information had been exposed to hackers who are believed to have carried out the theft as part of a broader cyberattack that compromised 620 million online accounts across 16 websites. 

In an email to its users Thursday, the company said that it had learned earlier this week that an unauthorized third party had gained access to a "partial list of user details" that included names and email addresses provided to the site before May 2018. The discovery was made...
