Health Care Agency, Clinicians Want FLSA Suit Deal Approved

Law360 (April 13, 2018, 7:45 PM EDT) -- Health Resource Solutions Inc. and a group of registered nurses and clinicians asked an Illinois federal court on Thursday for final approval of a settlement that would pay almost $580,000 to 79 workers who allege they were wrongly treated as exempt from overtime pay.

The plaintiffs are registered nurses, occupational therapists and other skilled therapists who work with patients in their homes. They said that HRS classified them as "exempt" for purposes of overtime pay eligibility. That was a violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act...
