NJ Senate Passes Construction Worker Rights Bill

Law360 (April 13, 2018, 4:35 PM EDT) -- The New Jersey Senate on Thursday unanimously passed a measure that would require employers in the construction industry to notify employees of certain rights, including their rights to minimum wage and overtime.

Sponsored by Nilsa Cruz-Perez, D-Camden and Troy Singleton, D-Burlington, the bill mandates that employers must “conspicuously post notification” of workers rights like unemployment benefits, information on wage and hour laws and other state and federal policies, including protections against employer retaliation.
