Bus Co. Must Bargain After Giving Union Bad Info: 11th Circ.

Law360 (April 13, 2018, 8:16 PM EDT) -- The Eleventh Circuit on Friday enforced a National Labor Relations Board ruling ordering an operator of public buses on Martha’s Vineyard to bargain with a union of drivers, saying the company sabotaged an initial representation election by giving the union bad addresses for almost half its drivers.

The panel, which has jurisdiction because operator Transit Connection Inc. does business in Florida, said the first election was invalid because the company gave an Amalgamated Transit Union local the drivers’ home addresses rather than their P.O. box numbers,...
