Hydrokinetic Power And The Renewable Energy Race

Law360, New York (June 23, 2010, 12:23 PM EDT) -- The May 18 memorandum of understanding between the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and California to coordinate procedures and schedules for review of hydrokinetic energy projects off the state's coast is the latest indication that energy development on the Outer Continental Shelf is accelerating.

The FERC-California MOU is the fourth that the agency has reached with coastal states, following similar agreements with Washington, Oregon and Maine.
