Calif. Court Reverses Decision To Allow Crude Oil Shipments

Law360, New York (November 22, 2017, 6:47 PM EST) -- A California state appellate court on Tuesday struck down a controversial decision to allow the construction of a new rail facility that would have allowed greater shipments of potentially explosive oil to be delivered to a shuttered oil refinery in Bakersfield, finding an environmental impact study erroneously downplayed the risk of disaster.
