Sniffing Out Vapor Intrusion

Law360, New York (February 9, 2012, 12:56 PM EST) -- In October 2011, the California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) issued final Guidance for the Evaluation and Mitigation of Subsurface Vapor Intrusion to Indoor Air, intended for use by, among others, regulators, responsible parties, developers, community groups and consultants.[1]

The final guidance recommends a step-wise approach for evaluating the vapor intrusion exposure pathway at sites where volatile chemicals are present in the subsurface.
