Feds, TransCanada Push To Nix Suit Over Keystone Approval

Law360, New York (August 11, 2017, 8:07 PM EDT) -- The federal government and TransCanada Corp. continued pressing Friday to toss the Indigenous Environmental Network and North Coast Rivers Alliance’s lawsuit seeking to invalidate approvals for the company’s Keystone XL pipeline.

The U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the U.S. Department of the Interior and TransCanada each filed replies in support of their motions to dismiss the groups’ lawsuit challenging the agencies’ approvals for the company’s pipeline and related facilities, which, if completed, would carry crude oil from Alberta, Canada, to U.S....
