Law360, Miami (March 10, 2016, 10:46 PM EST) -- A group of 259 families who reside at the Jockey Club condominium complex near North Miami filed suit Wednesday against a developer planning to build a 240-unit residential and 90-room hotel development on the property, claiming the plans violate binding agreements they signed with the original developer.
Defendant Apeiron Miami LLC, which in 2014 purchased 13 acres covering the common areas at the 22-acre complex alongside Biscayne Bay, has said its proposed development and improvements will return some of the luster to what was one of Miami's nightlife hotspots in the 1970s.
