Lockheed Wins $182M US Navy Launch System Contract

Law360, New York (June 5, 2014, 12:10 PM EDT) -- Lockheed Martin Corp. recently won a contract worth up to $182 million from the U.S. Navy to continue work on a vertical missile-launching system for surface ships, the company said Tuesday.

Lockheed will provide engineering design services for the Navy's MK 41 Vertical Launching System, which can launch several different missile types from multiple weapon control systems. The cost-plus-fixed-fee contract is for $10 million and includes options that could bring the total contract up to $182 million.
