GAO Sustains Protest Over Army Practice Bomb Contract

By Michael Macagnone (July 18, 2016, 7:34 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Government Accountability Office recommended the U.S. Army reopen bidding for a practice-bomb contract, saying in a decision released Friday that the military service made significant errors in evaluating the bidders.

Delfasco LLC convinced the GAO that the Army's evaluations of the company and competitor GTI Systems Inc. were inherently flawed when trying to decide between them for a contract to provide practice bombs and kits, according to the decision.
