The private equity firm had been weighing whether to sell the dental treatment company or launch an initial public offering, but after talks over a potential sale fell apart over price disagreements, Carlyle decided to rebrand IDH and hold on to it for now, the report said. Carlyle had discussed a sale with a handful of private equity firms, including The Blackstone Group LP, in hopes of getting £1 billion ($1.5 billion) for the dental treatment company. ...
