Stopgap Funding Bill Would Reauthorize EB-5 Program
Law360, New York (September 23, 2015, 8:50 PM EDT) -- A short-term spending bill unveiled Tuesday by Senate Republicans would reauthorize the EB-5 regional center program through the fall, along with a program for religious workers and E-Verify, but the bill is not expected to pass due its restrictions on Planned Parenthood funding.
The so-called "continuing resolution" would reauthorize the EB-5 regional center program until Dec. 11, as it is currently set to expire on Sept. 30. The bill would also extend authorization until that date for E-Verify, the Religious Worker Visa Program and the Conrad-30 program for doctors.
