DHS Plan For Northern Border Targets Smuggling, Terrorism

Law360 (June 13, 2018, 8:22 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security on Tuesday released a plan outlining strategies to improve security against terrorism and drug smuggling along the border the United States shares with Canada.

DHS hopes to improve security along the 3,987-mile northern border — which is more than twice as long as the southern border, according to the U.S. Geological Survey — with better information-sharing strategies by both countries' officials, according to the report.
