By Max Jaeger (March 7, 2022, 3:12 PM EST) -- A Texas federal judge on Friday ordered the Biden administration to revive a Trump-era policy allowing the removal of unaccompanied migrant children who test positive for COVID-19, while stopping short of forcing the government to ramp up removal actions.

U.S. District Judge Mark T. Pittman partly sided with the state of Texas in a challenge brought in April 2021, finding a pair of administration orders exempting unaccompanied minors from removal under Title 42 violated the Administrative Procedures Act's provisions against "arbitrary" agency actions.
