3rd Circ. Says Anti-Assignment Clauses Stand In ERISA Plans

Law360 (May 16, 2018, 8:38 PM EDT) -- The Third Circuit on Wednesday joined some of its sister circuits in holding that health insurance plan clauses barring the assignment of claims to third parties, including the provider of the underlying care, are enforceable in Employee Retirement Income Security Act-governed plans.
