Insurer Must Defend Property Mgr. In Elevator Injury Suit

Law360 (June 11, 2018, 5:57 PM EDT) -- An Ohio federal judge ruled Monday that Westfield Insurance Co. must defend the property manager for a Cincinnati office building in a lawsuit brought by a woman whose foot was caught in a malfunctioning elevator door, finding that Westfield’s policy clearly provides primary coverage for the manager.

The manager of the Cincinnati-based Holiday Office Park, Cassidy Turley Ohio Inc., was named as an additional insured on the liability policy issued to the property’s owner by Westfield.
