Shareholders OK Alterra-Markel, American Realty Mergers

Law360, New York (February 26, 2013, 6:46 PM EST) -- Investors on Tuesday voted to pass two big mergers, approving the $3.1 billion tie-up of insurers Alterra Capital Holdings Ltd. and Markel Corp., and New York-based American Realty Capital Properties Inc.'s $2.2 billion acquisition of a nontraded real estate investment trust.
