Federal Discovery Rules Create Insurance Litigation Tools

Law360, New York (August 8, 2017, 5:14 PM EDT) -- Litigators who practice in federal court are aware of the Dec. 1, 2015, changes to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. The amendments made a number of changes to discovery practice, but two in particular have wide-ranging implications: the changes to the scope of permissible discovery and the new requirements for formal discovery responses and objections. A number of articles in this publication and others have reminded practitioners to adapt to the new rules.
