Ukrainian Investors' Claims Against Russia Pass First Hurdle

By Caroline Simson (March 9, 2017, 4:53 PM EST) -- Russia will face expropriation claims in the Permanent Court of of Arbitration brought by Ukraine's largest commercial bank and the operator of a private airport after the larger nation annexed the Crimean Peninsula in 2014, Law360 learned on Thursday.

A tribunal in the Netherlands-based dispute resolution body determined on Feb. 24 that it has jurisdiction to hear both claims, according to a person with knowledge of the situation.
