Indonesia Strikes Out In WTO Scrap Over US Paper Duties

Law360, New York (December 6, 2017, 12:51 PM EST) -- A World Trade Organization dispute settlement panel wholly rejected complaints from Indonesia targeting U.S. countervailing duties on its coated paper exports Wednesday, handing a decisive victory to the Trump administration.

The decision puts a cap on a case that began more than two and a half years ago, when Indonesia claimed that the U.S. tariffs were based on shoddy methodology and implemented on a faulty legal basis.
