SEC Gives Israeli Co. Cooperation Credit In FCPA Settlement

Law360 (March 12, 2018, 5:46 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Friday said an Israeli real estate development company violated provisions of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act in several past deals, but said the company’s subsequent cooperation and remedial work went a long way to cap its fine at $500,000.

According to the Wall Street regulator, the Israel-based Elbit Imaging Ltd. and a subsidiary had paid out tens of millions of dollars to consultants and sales agents to help land transactions in Romania and the United States.
