Ban On Cos. Could Undercut Global Trade, Nokia Tells FCC

Law360 (April 11, 2018, 7:33 PM EDT) -- Finnish telecom giant Nokia asked the Federal Communications Commission this week to steer clear of flat bans on network components from countries such as China and Russia, saying the agency must instead scrutinize individual companies and affirm the validity of global supply chains.

As the FCC mulls restricting certain subsidies from companies and countries that present national security concerns, it should put its focus on the good behavior of entities themselves, taking into account whether a company is publicly traded and whether it has good relationships...
