ITC Slaps Duties On Washing Machines Made In China

Law360, New York (January 10, 2017, 6:17 PM EST) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission on Tuesday announced a final determination that Chinese residential washing machines are being dumped in the U.S.

In response to a petition filed by Whirlpool Corp., the commission said the six-member panel had unanimously found the Chinese-imported washers had harmed U.S. industry, clearing the way for the imposition of duties of up to 52 percent on the washers.
