US Signals Duties On Tool Chests From China, Vietnam

Law360, New York (November 14, 2017, 3:03 PM EST) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce issued a preliminary set of import tariffs on Chinese and Vietnamese tool chests and cabinets Monday, finding that the goods have been sold on the U.S. market at less than fair value.

Vietnam bore the brunt of Commerce’s preliminary determination, with the agency pegging Clearwater Metal VN JSC, Rabat Corp. and CSPS Co. Ltd. — which it had determined to be a single entity — with the Vietnam-wide rate of just more than 230 percent.
