Apple Attacks Qualcomm Patents In Row Over IPhone Tech
By Dave Simpson (May 31, 2018, 8:07 PM EDT) -- Apple Inc. moved Thursday for judgment on the pleadings in two patent infringement suits brought in California federal court by Qualcomm Inc., arguing that four of the patents, which cover technology that Qualcomm claims is being ripped off in the iPhone, are invalid.
Apple's motions respond to two of three of Qualcomm's November complaints, which opened fresh battles in a legal war with allegations that Apple violated 16 of the chipmaker's patents covering everything from cameras to touch-screen displays.
