Luxury Brands Must Pay For Web Blocking: UK Top Court

Law360 (June 13, 2018, 12:45 PM EDT) -- The UK’s top appeals court ruled Wednesday that luxury brands like Cartier, and not internet service providers, must foot the bill for blocking access to counterfeit websites.

The U.K. Supreme Court ruled Wednesday that trademark owners like Cartier must pay the costs of implementing court orders forcing ISPs to block users from accessing sites that sell fake goods. (AP)
