Blackbird, Lenovo Settle Suit Over Hybrid Laptop-Tablet

By Tiffany Hu (August 8, 2018, 5:34 PM EDT) -- Blackbird Technologies LLC, a Boston patent litigation company founded by former WilmerHale and Kirkland & Ellis LLP partners, announced on Wednesday it has settled a patent dispute in Delaware federal court with Lenovo over whether the Chinese telecom company infringed a computer display patent.

Blackbird Technologies announced that it agreed to settle claims with Lenovo (United States) Inc. last month, after accusing the Chinese firm of infringing a patent relating to a computer display that converts from a laptop to a tablet.

While details of the settlement were not immediately available Wednesday, Blackbird CEO Wendy Verlander appeared satisfied with the outcome....
