Congress Urged To Keep IP Items Out Of Spending Bill

Law360 (December 8, 2020, 9:08 PM EST) -- The Computer & Communications Industry Association, Electronic Frontier Foundation and others are urging lawmakers not to include several "controversial" intellectual property measures in a "must-pass" government spending bill.

The Dec. 4 letter comes in response to recent reports that the House and Senate Judiciary Committees plan to include a package of copyright and trademark bills to the omnibus funding bill, which is currently set to pass Friday before a government shutdown, the groups said.
