Biden's 3rd Wave Of Judicial Picks Has 3 For Circuit Courts

Law360 (May 12, 2021, 10:00 AM EDT) -- President Joe Biden tapped six women and lawyers of color for judicial spots Wednesday, including two for the Second and Tenth circuits who would become the only judges on those courts with experience as federal public defenders.

The appellate picks are Puerto Rico U.S. District Judge Gustavo A. Gelpí Jr. for the First Circuit, New York federal defender Eunice C. Lee for the Second Circuit and Colorado-based federal defender Veronica S. Rossman for the Tenth Circuit.

The district court candidates are state Superior Court Justice Angel Kelley for Massachusetts, U.S. Magistrate Judge Karen M. Williams for New Jersey and Foster Garvey PC...
