Lawmakers Say Moderna Deal May Let Gov't Share Vax Recipe

By Adam Lidgett (October 14, 2021, 8:00 PM EDT) -- A collection of federal lawmakers wrote to President Joe Biden's COVID-19 officials, saying Moderna's vaccine contract with the U.S. might let the government share the recipe with others in an attempt to increase access to vaccines across the world.

Democrats like Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., U.S. Rep. Pramila Jayapal, D-Wash., and others sent a letter to officials at the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority — which is part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services — and at the White House about global vaccine access.
