Law360, New York (September 30, 2013, 5:28 PM EDT) -- Choice Hotels International Inc. asked a Texas federal judge on Saturday to grant summary judgment in a suit against Dallas hotelier Goldmark Hospitality LLC, alleging the company used a Choice Hotels trademark for more than a year despite demands that it cease.
In its motion for summary judgment, Choice Hotels urged the court to grant a permanent injunction against Goldmark's use of the Quality Suites name and almost $1 million in damages stemming from trademark infringement and unfair competition.
