ZTE Reaches Settlement In E-Watch Phone Patent Fight

Law360, New York (January 25, 2017, 2:15 PM EST) -- Add ZTE to the list of companies looking to settle infringement allegations made by e-Watch Inc. for two of its patents covering cell phone camera technology, according to documents filed Tuesday with the Eastern District of Texas.

ZTE (USA) Inc. and e-Watch filed a joint motion to dismiss that would bring an end to the involvement of the U.S. subsidiary of the Chinese telecommunications giant in a case in which e-Watch alleges infringement of its patents covering systems that can capture and transmit digital images on a camera phone.
