Dr. Reddy's Generic Infringes Aloxi Patents, Judge Rules

Law360, Los Angeles (February 15, 2017, 10:46 PM EST) -- A New Jersey federal judge on Wednesday found that Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Inc.’s planned generic version of Helsinn Healthcare SA’s anti-nausea drug Aloxi infringes three patents for the drug and rejected Dr. Reddy’s contention that two of those patents are invalid.

It was a blow to Dr. Reddy’s in a long-running suit by Helsinn over its patents for Aloxi, one of several the Swiss company has lodged against aspiring makers of generic versions of the drug, which makes up a large part of Helsinn’s revenue, court records show.
