Prince's Estate Wins Temporary Block Of New Tracks' Release

Law360, Los Angeles (April 20, 2017, 9:53 PM EDT) -- A six-song EP of unreleased Prince tracks won’t be coming out on the anniversary of his death after a Minnesota federal judge issued a temporary restraining order Wednesday at the request of the late musician’s estate, which claimed the engineer distributing the EP doesn’t have the rights to the tracks.

Paisley Park Enterprises Inc. sued George Ian Boxill last week in Carver County after finding out he was behind an allegedly unauthorized release of an EP called “Deliverance” that included unreleased Prince tracks.
