NJ Atty With Radio Show Stole $2M From Elderly Clients: AG

By Jeannie O'Sullivan (April 30, 2018, 6:37 PM EDT) -- A prominent New Jersey elder law attorney and radio host was indicted Monday on charges that he stole nearly $2 million from clients, some of whom suffered from dementia and had no close relatives to guard their interests, state Attorney General Gurbir S. Grewal announced.

Robert Novy of Novy & Associates in Manchester, who hosts a radio show geared toward senior citizens called "Inside the Law," is facing prison time and fines if convicted on counts of theft, money laundering and misapplication of entrusted funds stemming from alleged wrongdoing from 2009 to 2016, the prosecutor said. Novy denied the allegations through his attorney....
