Maxim To Repay $14M For Mistakenly Overbilling MassHealth

Law360, New York (December 6, 2017, 8:35 PM EST) -- National home health care agency Maxim Healthcare Services Inc. will pay more than $14 million under a deal announced Tuesday to resolve the Massachusetts attorney general's office’s allegations that it overbilled the state’s Medicaid system.

The deal refunds overpayments that Maxim — which has locations in Massachusetts in towns including Worcester, Taunton and Springfield — received from MassHealth for services it provided to patients between 2010 and 2016, according to a news release from the company.
