FCC's Rosenworcel Sees Ways To Bridge The Internet Gap

Law360 (September 18, 2018, 8:21 PM EDT) -- For Federal Communications Commissioner Jessica Rosenworcel, the digital age will be a success only if the government does all it can to connect underprivileged people with high-speed internet service and help local communities better serve their own residents.

Rosenworcel, a Democrat, has been a leading voice at the FCC for speeding up the availability of in-home broadband for low-income households along with the next generation of mobile services, also known as 5G. She has also been a strong advocate for preserving local government’s say in the infrastructure work necessary to support the new, high-capacity networks.
