'Informal' Letter Was Presuit Notice In Time-Barred Suit

Law360, New York (July 7, 2017, 3:43 PM EDT) -- A woman’s letter to a hospital which described an injury claim tied to a post-birth hospitalization constituted a presuit notice, a California appeals court ruled Thursday, upholding a finding that a later letter from her counsel did not extend the time to file the actual suit.
